The National Aluminum Protection Company organized a seminar on the "Risks of using low-thickness aluminum" at Hormuz Grand Hotel. Attended by specialists from Meinhardt GmbH, Mr. Mahmood Daylami the General Secretary of Gulf Aluminium Council and Mr. Ihab Mouallem – National Aluminium Products Chief Executive Officer.

The seminar was attended by a number of official institutions involved in the implementation of the projects in addition to representatives of consulting offices, aluminum dealers and workshop owners.

Ihab Al-Mouallem, said: "The importance of this seminar is to highlight the dangers of using low-thickness aluminum and the lack of clear legislation that determines the thickness of sections used in construction and the entry of low-thickness sections to the local market Many consumers
 “There is widespread and large use in the Sultanate of the sections of a few thickness in buildings and constructions. Where sections were recorded thickness of less than 1.2 mm unfortunately, this patch has been prevented from the countries established but by way of. Several countries have taken into account the imposition of cancer” AL Mouallem added.

Al-Mouallem concluded the seminar by emphasizing that NAPCO is the only company in the Sultanate over the past few years and it is a public shareholding company listed on the capital market. The company has supplied its high efficiency products over the last two years. During 2016, the product will be expanded to 42,000 MT per year.
